Mr. Henry Peterson, of Willacoo
cliee was in town several days last
week. You can guess the attraction.
Mr. J. L. Googe of Abbeville, is in
Bioxton, the guest of his brother Dr,
W. R. Googe. Mr. Googe writes fire
insurance for the best companies.
The tliree-year-old son of Mr. P. D.
Buchan happened to a serious and
maybe fatal accident last Monday
morning. Mr. Buchan was felling sap
pliugjwbcn one fell the opposite direc
tion, to his expectation, wounding the
little boy on the top of the head, frac
turing the skull and otherwise injur
ing him. At this writing meagre hopes
are entertained for his recoveiy.

The bride’s father gave her away.
The attendants were : Miss Calista
Daniels with Mr Riley Luke, Miss Tii

The bride is one of Coffee’s fairest
and most charming daughters; she
was dressed in a pals blue silk, trim
med with old gold and pearl lace and
rhinestone ornaments.
The groom is one of Coffee’s sturdy
and progressive young farmeis.

Fawn, Ga , March 2.—We have had
another cold snap and the farmers are
in .great fear that the fruit and oats
are killed.
Guess the cold snap has dispersed

has not heard of any new cases since.
Capt. Byrd Mobley is quite sick at

Sir. J. J. Mobley has been very sick
hut is convalescing.
There is quite an epidemic of scarlet
fever at Irwinville. One man lost
three of his family.
Dr. Jimmie Kirkland is back from
Oklahoma.
Quite an enjoyable entertain men t
was given at the home of Mr McXeal
Friday night. Missess Susie and An
nie Fussel! were among the invited
guests. All had a nice time.
Tiie colonists are moving into Ever
green. Several more families are ex
pected next wee-k.
Mr. J. It. Alison is carrying on an
extensive timber business at Ever
green. He is shipping to Darien.

—Dr. Gibson, an eminent Baptist
divine of Atlanta, also Chairman of
the State Board, will preach in Doug
las on Friday before the second sun
day in March. It is not often that we
have an opportunity to hear such men
as Dr. Gibson preach in Douglas and
the Breeze trusts Unit our people will
turn out en masse to hear him.
