Traffic Manager Hawkins is running
a hotel and railroad now. Since he
added the hotel to his business he is
improving in looks.
Mr. J. E. Rodgers has our thanks
for fine peaches, of the Indian variety.
Whenever he has anything good he
always brings us some.
The merchants say for you to pat
ronise home enterprise. That’s a
good rule and merchants should prac
tice what they preach.
The merchants and farmers ware
house will be a big tiling for Douglas.
People will come here to store their
cotton and buy .supplies.
W. O. Paxson will sell you family
i groceries, “on the bottom,” and will
deliver them if he has to carry them
j himself.

las good in your town. The printer in
, the other town don’t trade with you,
| and is working to build up his town

The city has a charter and is res
ponsible. can be sued and can sue. If
your child or wife is hurt on the streets
through lack of care on the city’s part
it must pay the damages.
A man says he pa”s taxes and has a
right to ride a bicycle on the side-walk.
Other people have rights, too, for they
pay taxes and they are not wanting to
be run over by a bicvcle.

it was printed at this office trade with
’em, if not, give them the go by. The
merchant who sends out of his courfity
for printing bills, &c., don’t deserve
home patronage, when it can be done'
