There are some young gentlemen
in town who will be glad to know
her address which is Pendergrass,

Miss Tattler Says-
That the editor of the
dfflafr Breeze pretended that lie
was going to Quitman last
Is Tuesday to attend the Geor
y/j Ml gia Press Association but lie
iblM made a mistake and went to
Pablo.
That the new head promised for
the paper, and the one needed by
the editor are anxiously awaited.
The former is badly worn the other
is seriously addled.
That Airs. Sibbett returned last
Monday night just in time to keep
the doctor from displaying a sign
on the front gate, “anew wife
wanted.” ’Tis, well, if she had
found that sign up lie would have
wanted anew wife or new some
thing else by the time she was done
with him.
That Douglas is getting out of
the dumps fast. She has a City
Court Judge, Superior Court
Judge, Senator of the district, and
is looking around for a job lot of
other attractions.
That if she is any judge of the
way the Briston correspondent
writes there will soon be in that
direction, a marriage, furneral,
fight or foot race. Perhaps all of
them.
That Air. Courson wrote her a
note while the editor was gone.,
sent a large, sweet melon with it
and told her that he was on to the
Breeze man’s racket. That he sat
back in his office, said “come on
fellows with the melons,” and as
they come in he eats them, registers
and won’t tell who has the biggest
until he has eaten all the melons
in the county. Greedy is no word
for it.
That she expects to have but little
to say now and there will be less to
take back in the future.
That an obedient daughter can
get in some good licks for her over
worked mother by helping with
the housework and cooking these
hot days, and the son who has been
a pupil at school all the year can
help his father mightily by leading
a hand in pulling fodder or chop
ping the grass out of the cotton.
And that’s no joke.
No Back Numbers.
As we have said we are putting
on new subscribers rapidly. Some
of them have written and applied
for hack numbers of the Breeze, in
order to catch on to the first chap
ters of the story now running-Mu-r
--ricll’s Band—in these columns',
which cannot be supplied. We
will, however, in order to help them
all we can, publish a synopsis of
previous chapters in our next edi
tion which will enable them to fol
low the drift of the n irratiye.
In to-days paper another charac
ter is introduced, and in order that
she may be watched more closely
through .the chapters to follow., we
Will state'that' she was the mother
of some prominent, people now
living in Dooly and Irwin coupties.
The reader may think from the
absence of Mike Ready in to-day’s
paper that the Indians roasted him,
as he was in their hands when last
heard from, but that’s a mistake.
Mike will show up again before
you know it. Some of your.grand
mothers and fathers have bought
needles, pins, calico, and other
goods from him, for lie peddled all
over Coffee, Irwin, Dooley and
Ware counties, way hack in the
forties, which is another proof that
“nothin’ could kape that Irishman
fiat on his hack.”
“When the Fields are White With
Cotton.”
Whilden, the music man is sell
ing from SI,OOO to $1,500 worth of
Organs and Pianos, Buggies and
Wagons per month, and with his
| large stock of fine Organs, Kimball,
j Crownr-and other celebrated makers
| wants to supply the whole country,
j Your credit is good. You can get
lan instrument or vehicle, pay part
I down, pay so much monthly, and
when the “fields are white with
| cotton” wipeout the whole debt.
(Then, when the long winter nights
