lust praise her mother. If you
raise her without ceasing, your wife

Whatever your wife says, pet her.
Never boast about your people. If

they are better than your wife’s peo

of them invites unpleasant comment.
Don’t tempt your wife; just pet
her.
Don’t criticise any of your wife’s

Don’t argue with her, pet her.
At times she will regret not having
married a richer and handsomer man

in silence. This delicious martyrdom
is a privilege of her sex.
Don’t ask for an explanation of

to you, she will delight in the fact
that she has a man of her own to
order about, and such times her gen
tle tyranny will be rather irritating.
It is a passing phrase.
Don’t be stubborn; just pet her.
At times she will weep without
apparent cause; she will be gay when
you are glum; she will be bored when
you are full of enthusiasm; she will
point for a day without offering an
explanation and will give you an
ecstatic hug with no apparent rea

You will never understand her.
Don’t try. That way lies madness.
Just enjoy the fact of her and re

And pet her.—Baltimore Sun.
