B. Stephenson, were secretly mar¬
ried in South Carolina a few weeks
before Christmas. They made the
announcement of their marriage
last week, and received the con-

: Mn. Tom Dickson, wife of J.
T. Dickson, died at her home at
this plauc last Wednesday mo cib
ing about ten o’clock, of.-.dropsy.
Mrs. Diekton has been sick for
several years and has suffered a
great deal. She leivas a husband
and four children, together with a
large number of near relatives and
friends to mourn pier death. We
extend our sincere condolence.
Mrs. Elizabeth Mize died at the
residence of W. II. Smith, at Ash
land, this week. She was 67 years
old and died from a complication
of diseases after an illness of some
time. . She was the mother ef Mrs,
Smith, with whom she made her
home. She was a member of the
Baptist church and had been for a
number of years. Her remains
were carried back to her former
residence in Banks county, where
they were interred in the
family burial ground.
