social and literary society in a short

nothing would be pleasanter and

and Miss Mattie Cox were the par¬

one of our brightest and pleasantest

the mouth, and liis recovery is very
doubtful.
A magic lantern show exhibited in
the school bouse on last Monday
night to a good crowd of our “fellow
citizens.”
Our school, under the efficient
management of Prof. J. A. Neese
and Miss Julia Wilder, is in a flour¬
ishing condition. It lias grown too
large for the present building, and
the contract for building an addition
21x50 feet lias been let out.
