The prisoners in jail—five in num

the jailer when he went to give them
break last on Sunday morning last, and
to make their escape. Our accidental
meeting with him there at the time
prevented the carrying out scheme. A
subsequent quarrel among them led to
an exposure of the scheme.

returned from a highly enjoyed trip to
McDuffie. After spending sonic time
in Thomson where lie was the recipient
of many kindly courtesies, lie went out
to White.Oak Camp Ground, where he
found many a fair candidate for his ad
