A Card.
We desire, through the columns
of the Sentinel, to return oursin
cere thanks to the people of Cor
deleaud surrounding couutry, for
the liberal patronage accorded us
during the recent caruivul in
Aniericus. We are glad to have
had the pleasure of meeting a
great many of our old friends, and
making a great many new ones,
all of whom were kind enough to
call on us and with a hearty shake
of the hand spoke words of encour
agement that inspire us to greater
efforts than ever nefore, in solic
iting and encouraging your pat
ronage. A great many of these
new friends had never been to
Americus before and had the op
portunity of seeing our mammoth
establishment and our method of
doing business. We feel justified
in saying their visit proved to our
mutual benefit. Few people who
have never been here can realize
what large department stores we
are conducting, and what select
merchandise we handle, and the
uniform courtesy we always try to
give to the trade, besides making
a specialty of good goods and low
prices. Our’s is the only place in
this part of the country where you
can get everything to wear for
men, women and children. We
trust that we may have the privi
lege of seeing all of our old
friends, and as many new ones as
possible, iu our city frequently
during this season, and when you
are needing anything in the way
of silk and wool dress goods, gen
eral dry goods, clothing, gent’s
furnishing goods, shoes, hats, la
dies’ tailor-made suits and wraps
of all kinds, carpets, curtains and
house furnishing goods, we will
make it to your interest to board
the Shoo-fly and come to Americus
and spend the day.
Again thanking you and assur
ing you of our highest appreciation
of your valued patronage, we are,
Very truly yours,
Wheatley – Ansley,
415-417 Jackson St., Americus, Ga.
A Topeka man promised his wife
faithfully to name his new Bilver
mine in New Mexico after her.
The next week she saw the printed
letter heads of the new mine for
the first time, and instead of the
pretty name of Marie Louise she
found it called “The Holy Terror.”
Discovered by a Woman.
Another great discovery has been
made, and that too, by a lady in this
country. “ Disease fastened its
clutches upon her and for seven
years she withstood its severest tests,
but her vital organs were under
mined and death seemed imminent.
For three months she coughed in
cessantly, and could not sleep. She
finally discovered a way to recovery,
by purchasing Discovery of us a bottle of Dr.
King’s New for Consump
tion, and was so much relieved on
taking first close, that she slept all
night; and with two bottles, has
been absolutely cured. Her name is
Mrs. Luther Lutz.” Thus writes W.
C. Haiunick – Co., of Shelby, N. C.
