OUR NEW QUARTERS.
In our new quarters the Sentinel
extends to the public a hearty welcome
to visit us. Within a short time we
will have everything arranged in good
shape, with an abundance of room and
plenty of light.
Since the present management took
charge of the Sentinel about three
years ago we have steadily pushed to
the front. We have doubled our cir
culation and more than quadrupled
our job work. Wo have a better ad
vertising patronage than at any time
in the history of the paper—nearly
large enough to warrant an increase in
the size of our paper—which means, of
course, that an advertisement in the
Sentinel always brings fruit and that
is what the public wants.
Wo now have more commodious
quarters than ever occupied by any
pnbl'shing establishment located in
this city. We wore compelled to meet
our growing demands and have met
them. Come to see us.
A VISIT TO CORDELE.
The editor of the News visited Cor
dele Thursday afternoon and succeed
<n 1 in adding several new subscribers to
our list and tlie promise of some ad
vertising patronage. We found the
people of this thriving city all busy,
and a great deal of new business houses
and residences under course of eon
struction.
The work on tlie new depot is pro
gressing nicely, and when completed
will be one of tlie finest on the road.
Everybody seemed to be in a good hu
mor and sociable.
B. B. Pound is having a lurge two
story brick building erected just below
McMillan’s Pharmacy, which will be
occupied by the above firm. It will be
one of the most elegantly finished
stores in tlie city with marble front and
tile flooring.
The Cordele National Bank, former
ly the People’s Bank have moved into
the Wight – Weslosky bank builking.
Tlie manager of the Cash Drug Store
will open up another stock of drugs in
the old bank building vacated by the
above bank.

dele Sentinel has rented the
second floor and is having
printing . outfit moved into ,
that building, which is more
suitable ioi the business, lie
will have a large sign across
the front of the building.
And by the way, lie is giving
the people of Cordele a week
lv paper that they should feel
proud of. The Sentinel is
and always has stood fast for
Cordele and her interests,
and its influence is felt where
ever it goes.
He has a good assistant in
the person of W A. Snow,
is a printer of unusual
ability and we are always
glad to greet him.
W. H. Tripp, one of Cordele’s old
standbys in the livery business is hav
ing a large and convenient new stable
business erected opposite the old
stables.
Mr. L. M. Altman, a well-known liv
eryman of Vienna, will open up a livery
imsiess about November 1st, in the old
stables which are to be vacated by Mr.
Tripp.
There are many other changes going
on in the magic city too numerous to
mention. We were highly gratified at
our success in the interest of the News,
while in Cordele and will make another
visit soon.
Wo had the pleasure of taking sup
per at the hospitable home of Mr. and
Mrs. S. L. Felder in east Cordele, and
everything was fixed to suit our appe
tite. We enjoyed the visit very much
indeed.—Vienna News.
A great agricultural fair, a great
poultry show and a great carnival will
bo combined to make the Hay Day
Fair and Elks’ Carnival which will be
held at Albany during the week of

m BLOOD,
DAD COMPLEXION.
The skin is the seat of an almost end
less variety of diseases. They are known
by various names, but are all due to the
same cause, acid and other poisons in
the blood that irritate and interfere with
the proper action of the skin.
To have a smooth, soft skin, free from
all eruptions, the blood must be kept pure
and healthy. The many preparations of
arsenic and potash and the large number
of face powders and lotions generally
used in this class of diseases cover up
for a short time, but cannot remove per
manently the ugly blotches and the red,
disfiguring pimples.
EtepnaS vigilance is tine pnioo
of a heatstifui complexion

Mr. H. T. Shobe, 2704 Lucas Avenue, St. Louis,

resisted all treatment. She was taken to two
