Tuesday the barn of Mr. A. J.
Morris, about a mile east of Cor
dele, containing 500 bushels of
corn, a lot of hay, fodder and six
bales of cotton, was destroyed by
fire. The house of Mr- W, D. Scott,
had a narrow escape.

gerald, and shortly will begin to
push on to Birmingham, Ala.
