Charlie and Miss Stella? have been i»*WeW for several days, State of Georgia—Rabun county Constitution and By Laws of Ra bun County Teachers’ Association, Preamble Wc, the teachers of Rabun coun ty, realizing the neccesity for thor ough organization and active ac tive co-opcration of teachers, pat rons and pupils, and anticipating the mutual benefit to be derived therefrom, do hereby resolve to or ganize ourselves into a body, to be known as the Rabun County Teach ers’ Association, and hereby adopt the toilowirig Constitution and By laws for the government of said body, CONSTITUTION, Act. 1st. Sec. 1. This organization shall be known its the Rabun County Teachers’ Association . Sec. 2 The object of this nssoci- tion shall be the discussion of the best methods of instruction, and all other questions relating direct ly to school interest. Sec. 8 Any teacher or advanced student of Rabun county may be come a member of this association by subscribing to its constitution and by-laws. See, 4 Ten members shall consti tute a quorum for the transaction of business, Act. 2. Sec, 1 The officers Of this associ ation shall consist of a president, vice president, 2nd vice president, secretary, treasurer, editor and as sistant editor, Sec. 2 The officers shall be elect ed annually bY ballot at the first meeting of the year, a majority con curring. Sec. 8 It shall be the president to call the meeting to order, at the time and place appointed, to sus J tain order, to state all motions ,- to call votes, to announce re sults,- and tc discharge such other dutiesas usually devolve Upon the chair in an of similar deliberative bodies. The vice president Shall preside over over all meetings when requested to do so by the president or during bis absoude. It shall be the duty Of the secretary and trees-! 1 liver to keep a record c)f the pro-! etedings of Hie associliticrjr, to call the roll and mark the absentees , to re'ceive and hold all mo'neys due the association, to disburse the same us the association may direct, and to report in full for all moneys us often as the the body may re quest. It shall be duty of the ed itor to correct all subject matter which may need correction before delivering the' same for publica tion. A-rticle 8 The meetings of this association shall lie held monthly unless other wise directed by the body, at such time and place as may be agreed ■ ' upon by the body. Articled . ] This constitution may be amerd- | ed by a two-thirds vote of the body, provided such amendment shall have been submitted in writing at the meeting preceeding the action. BY LAWS Article 1 This meeting shall be' called to order bY the president aft 10 o’ clock, a. m. Afticle 2 Sec. 1. There shall be anr order of daily excerciseS arranged by a standing committee on program , and submitted for publicaaion. Sec. 8 If any member of thiff association shall fall to pay a fihei imposed upon him, by the nest reg ular meeting after said fine shall become due, such member shall bd prohibited from voting or taking' rtny part in the exercises until Said fine shall have been paid.
