For sale by all druggisst News reaches us late to-day that Will Bradley was fatally shot this afternoon near a dis’illery ou Dick’s creek, in the eastern portion of tl|p county. The U.S. officers re port tliev were cooking a lunch at the distillery when they heard dis tant shots. We are unable to get at any facts beyond tho above. Biadley lives here and great anxiety is felt as to his condition. The ball entered his back near the It ft kidney and from reports he will not survive. Bradley walked some distance after |ie was shot and no doubt the party who did the shoot ing is known there, but we are un able to give our readeis anything reliable more than he is fatally shot, and (heyevenue officials are ac cused of the crime. The people are aroused over the matter and are bold in condemning the the act as the na. ture of the wound shows n coward ly act alid say it is a parallel case to the one “over the ridge” and out of sight, - Personally we entertain no opinion but we give our readers the opinion of those who have exi pressed themselves imho matter. But. it does not. seecm to to us as reasonable that the officers would intentionally shoot any one en gaged in the illicit business.
