Eagle Scout Service Project To
Benefit Historic Courthouse
Local Boy Scouts, Dylan
Johnson (pictured on top left)
and Jake Stephenson (pic
tured on bottom right) are
working towards reaching
the highest rank in Scouting,
becoming Eagle Scouts! This
rank requires an Eagle Scout
Service Project to be com
pleted which shows leader
ship of others while perform
ing a project for the benefit
of the community. This is
the culmination of the Eagle
Scout candidate’s leadership
training, and it requires a sig
nificant effort on their part.
The project must benefit an
organization other than the
BSA.
These Scouts have teamed
up with the Crawford County
Historical Society with their
ongoing restoration, and have
chosen a visible piece of his
tory here in Crawford Coun
ty, the Historical Courthouse.
Johnson and Stephenson will
be leading others in cleaning,
repairing, and repainting the
retaining wall around the old
courthouse square.
As with all restoration proj
ects, donations are greatly ap
preciated! If you would like
to make a donation, please
make payabe to : Boy Scout
Troop 264, memo: Eagle
Project, and mail to: 2469
Hortman Mill Rd, Roberta,
Ga 31078. For more informa
tion or questions please call
