The advocators and supporters of Mr, 0. B. Stevens in his race for the democratic nomination in the second district are now posing us the only advocates of Imnnony in the district. They nay they ai’a crying for peace but there is no peace, while it is pain fully apparent to the disinterested observer they wuiit pence only upon their own terms. They demand from the opposition an unconditional surrender, which, in itself makes harmony impossible. They want peace provided it great majority of the democratic purty soc- riflee their manhood and accept a candidate whom they had no voice in selecting- a pretty olive branch, in deed!
