Slimmer Hosort,
General -Manager, Jeff Lane, of the
Georgia Southern thinks he 1ms found
the place for the people of Macon to spend
tlicit summers He lias is his mind one
of the Ingest points on Pine Mountain a
place called Crest, on the Alncon and Bir
mingham railroad, sixty-live miles from
.Macon. The altitudu of the railroad sta
tion is 70(1 feet above sea level, hut the
surroundingcoimtiy is from 200 lo 400
feet higher. Land cost comparatively
nothing up there anil nice summer homes
could lie erected at a very small expense.
The close proximity of the place to Macon
would make it of easy access to business
men, anil in every way it would seem a
very desirable summer resort. Col. Lane
thinks so, independent of the fact llial
Crest is located on the Macon and Bir
mingham railroad.

Three hundred Ohio farmers will come
to Georgia next month with a view to

the result of tile energy of. Major W. I..
Glessner, of the Georgia Southern utiil

Poiilan, and after returning home en
