condition of the Overstreet bridge,

A Temperance Meeting at Tifton
According to appointment, Hon.
O. R. Pringle, President of the Geor
gia /Prohibition Association, spoke
here last Friday night at the woman’s^
building, at the Fair ground.
The attendance was good for the
short notice given, and the speech
was well received, and many thought
it would do much good. Perhaps a
more attentive audience never listen
ed to a speaker in Tifton.
' After the speech was over, an aux-
illiary county association to the
Georgia Prohibition Association, was
orgauized, to be known as the Ber
rien County Prohibition Association.
The following officers were elected.
President, Dr. J. C. Goodman; Vice
President, Rev. W. M. Mathews;
Secretary, B. T. Allen; Treasurer,
J. W. Bnnn; Executive committee
