Worth Superior Court convened
here yesterday morning, Judge B. B.
Bower presiding, and Solicitor Spence
looking after the interests of the
state with his accustomed ability.
Both local and visiting bars are well
und ably represented, some of the
best legal talent of the state being
present.
So far, nothing but civil business
lias been disposed of, a good deal of
that passing the court’s jurisdiction.
Just now, the trial of the land case
of Dunn vs. Lovjtt is progressing,
Out a verdict has not yet been reach
ed.
It is very probabld that the crimi
nal docket will be taken up tomor
row, and will probably consume the
balance of the week, there being little
probability of an adjournment being
reached before Friday night, as there
are about ten jail cases to try.

says is soon to locate there. Dr. M.

and its entire consents by fire a few
weeks ago, is a typical' Yankee in
pluck and energy, although thor

years ago. He is going ahead, despite
adverse circumstances, to rebuild,and
his cheerful aspect shows that he is
taking his loss well.
H.
I.ateh:—Up to Wednesday noon
the court was still engaged on the
civil docket, land cases of several
years standing occupying a large por
tion of the time. The case of Dunn
vs. Lovitt wus decided in favor of
the defendant on the ground of seven
year’s possession.
It was probable that the criminal
docket would come up Wednesday
evening. There were fifteen prison
ers in jail awaiting trial, four of
whom were white.
Dr. Ford was still a fugitive from

C ASH, Experience and proper Judgment, in iTuying is necessary to
obtain the best values. The word “Cash” has been hammered
into us by experience' along the Credit Path. Commencing our
present business, we adopted the cash system, which has been so satis
factory and so much better for ourselves and customers l thut we will
never buy or sell any other way. If you are traveling the credit path,
change your way at once—come over t'o our side, adopt tlifc “Money
Down, Bargain System.” Why? Because the credit man pays thirty,
sixty', seventy, and one hyfcidred per cent, profit, when the spot cash
buys at the small advance of ten per cent. See the difference?
MONEY talks, and implores you to stop the leaks with bargains
from our counters. Our store is constantly filled with customers who
realize they are buying at saving prices.
