SI.00 PER ANNUM,
a white man with a revolver and
plenty of “grit,” were the chief 'ac
tors in a shooting affray at Thigpen’s
still, live miles from here, over in
Clinch county. Frank Osbrook, the
negro, was shot through the breast
an! will probably die. Mr. Tom
Studstill, the white man, was shot
through the hand with a Winchester
ball and in the legs with small shot
by one of the negro’s friends. The
wounds are very painful, but not of
a serious nature. He is now in
Militown under the treatment of Dr.
Patten. t Butterfia'.
is very inconvenient to have only
one suit, and it a borrowed one.
Well if thoro is sufficient sand in
the “Gizzard” to digest this, I will

Wo had Christmas last week, also

The musical program was good, con

Santa throiigh the mystic streets of
Isabella to the telephone depot,
where he bade them all a hearty fare
well and a happy New Year.
Iloigh-ho! I like to have forgotten
to tell you of my interesting trip to
the Exposition. 1 went on the tele

a handsome depot, but the train has
not matured yet but I. think it will
soon if the seasons are favorable.
