the race for state treasurer, and l*
endorsed by Col. Hob Hardeman.
Ilenry G. Turner, Georgia is proud
you! You have taken your prop
er |placc beside Hill, Toombs and
Stephens in the hearts of your peo
ple.
It is said Col, Lonstitiition Living
ston is going to take another trip to
Venezuela. Oh, if some means
could only bo devised to keep him
there.
RULE
BOTH
TO WORK
WAYS.
With one or two exceptions, the
officials of Berrien county seem only
to remember that there is such a
place in existence as Tifton a few
months previous to election.
This, in face of the fact that it
has the heaviest voting population,
pays more taxes, and returns nearly
twice as much taxable! property as
any district in the county, and for
years past has shown a steady gain
every year. Last yeqr its gain of
over $50,000, nearly counterbalan
ced the total slump in the county
outside, and reduced it to less than
half what it would have been with
out this district.
Hitherto, Tifton has been content
to give all and ask nothing in return
except the privilege of living in the
county and earning an honest living.
This she will continue to do, and
ask nothing but fair treatment, and a
just recognition. A word to the!
wise is sufficient.

It was fit and proper that Turner

The Democratic State Kxccutivo

as such ideas usually arc in Georgia.
