Isabella, Ga., March 23.—Mrs.
Leatliy Weeks, of Colquitt, sister ol
Mrs. Seaborn Harrell, died last Sun
day after a ten weeks illness, of ty
phoid fever. Mrs. Harrell, who has
been sick for about the same lenght

high they can’t cut-them.
Woolard is having a nice residence
put up just below* the Hancock’s,

having the ground tore up he must
be going into the farming business.
J. W. Tatum has one those ro

with the expectations of tho court
house, Crockett has his hotel all pain
ted, and it looks better than the I)r.

I see some goats around, that makes
the city complete.
Our old friend Jesse Hobby, up in
the 16th, and his son aro getting in
a had fix. They went to Sylvesrer to

Spring, bright spring, is here, tho
sweet wild violets, jonquills, nar
cissus and the pretty little pansy aro
putting forth their pretty blossoms,
to gladden the hearts of man. What
a contrast to the north? Snow two
to five feet deep and those sleigh
rides on the toboggan with your best
girl. What jolly times we had, and
we enjoyed it. But give me the
south for my homo, for here we
have such lovely weather.
All nature, apparently, is putting
forth every effort to make us thank
ful that we exist. Me thinks I hear
some 011c say, “yon arc an enthusiast”
Indeed, I am one, and also call
“Vim,” an enthusiast instead of
“fanatic.”
Let us agitate the question of
making a now comity out of good
old Berrien and Irwin, having the
county site at that progressive town,
Tifton. Now, gentlemen; do not all
speak at once, hut let us keep this
subject before the public. Agitate;
agitate, that is tho order of the day.
We get nothing by sitting with our
hands folded and waiting for others
to do our talking. Let us talk it up,
gentlnmen.
Thera will he several offices soon
to be filled by competent persons in
Irwin county. Let all bear in mind
not to vote for a man who indulges
in the use of ardent spirits. If a
man cannot control Ids appetite can
he control the affairs of the county?
