Stark it Toleon concluded their
Tifton engagement Saturday night,
bat remained over until Monday
jp-.. night, when “Ksmeralda” waa pre
sented. They left here for Dawsou,
via the Plant System.
It is a matter of regret to lovers of
amusement here that their stay with
us was not as profitable as it was
pleasant. Our people will certainly
not have the opportunity soon of pat*
• ronizmg a better company, and their
treatment of this one will go far
to prevent others coming.
Possibly the host plays of the series
were presented the last nights. The
inimitable trio, Stark, Brewer uud
Tolson were at their best, and the
superb acting of Senom Ogarita
could not be excelled anywhere.
These four make an invincible quar
tette, and we wish them success
wherever they,may go. The entire
company made many friends here
during their stay.
Mr. J. W. Sylvester, manager, and
Miss Lela Barnes, musical directress,
who were only with the company for
a few days, returned to their home in
Ocala Saturday night, according to
previous arrangement.
Mr. Sylvester has been manager of
the opera house in that city for four*
teen years, and his continued success
is best proof of his ability, and the
high esteem m which he is held by
the citizens. Both he und Miss
Barnes fell in love with Tifton dur-
K ing their stay, and we may Bee them
again ere many moons.
Something to Know.
It may be worth something to
know that tho very best medicine for
restoring the tired out nervous system
to a healthy vigor is Electric Bitters.
This medicine is purely vegetable,
acts by giving tone to the nerve
centres in the stomach, gently stim
ulates the liver and kidneys, and aids
these organs in thrt wing off impuri
ties in the blood. Electric Bitters
improves the appetite, aids digestion,
and is pronounced by those who have
P tried it as the very best blood purifier
and nerve tonic. Try it. Sold for

If You Wish to lie Well.

HARDLY JUST.
“I don’t like the Tifton paper
much,” said a candid subscriber while
paying up his arrears the other day.”
“It has got too much religion in it,
ami when it gets started on anything,
it just keeps harping on it all the
time.”
The writer is very much afraid
that his other subscribers will think
the gentleman has not been reading
his paper very closely, und his accu
sation was hardly just.
Would that it were true! The ed
itor would willingly lose ten per cent,
of his subset iption list to make it so.
Iu his mind, there is no higher ideal
of a newspaper than one that, while
presenting tho news of the week, hus a
strong undercurrent of religious con
victions, and persistently advocates
the Master’s cause.
And the man that has an idea, und
intelligently and presistently and
ceaselessly hammers it into the heads
of his readers is the only one that
molds public opinion.
