Among this class the symptoms of
fenfhle diseases are early manifest by
weak and aching backs, pain in the

stomach. In consequence of frequent
wetting of the feet, periods become
painful and irregular, and frequently
there are faint and dizzy spells, with
loss of appetite, until life is a burden.
All these symptoms point to a de

Norman Institute commencement.
These exorcises mark the sixth
annual commencement of this insti

The progress it has made is of
marked character, and in every de

welopmeni Six years ago, a forest,
now a beautiful little town.,sur

it poaaible for the poorest, if they
will avail themselves of the opportu

people of Norman Para, to do like

In addition to the progrnin, as
mentioned in last week's Gazette,
tbo baccalaureate addresB, by Prof.
G. W. Macon, of Mercer University,
at 11 a. in. Friday, was one of those
literary treats that can be given
only by those who bad the expe

it for the high responsibilities of
mature life.
The graduating class gave the fol
lowing excellent program :
Mr. Flournoy Clark, "The Forces
of Christianity.”
Mr. S. J. Baker, “Tho Dangers
that Threaten Our Civilization.”
Miss Lula Norman, "Woman Neg
lected in Education.”
These, including Mr. Frank Nor
man, wero the literary graduates.
Miss Lula Norman and Mr. Frank
Norman wore graduates in art also.
Hon. J. B. Norman, after giving
a sound, practical lecture, delivered
the diplomas.
The art department oonsists of
paintings, which wore displayed on
the walls of tho auditorium. China-
ware of various kinds was also artis
tically painted and hoautified, and
the exhibition, though in south
Georgia and the work done by the

some foreign artist.

land Uitton dills.
Washington, May 21.—The clash
between Senators Tillman, Bailey
and ex-Senator Chandler on one
sido, and President Roosevelt on the
other, was the overshadowing sen
sation all last week. Instances have
.been very rare when a president of
the United States has publicly de
nounced any one as a liar, or when
members of congress have hurled
the epithet in the direction of the
white house. President Roosevelt
has hot Georgia blood in his veins,
and once daring the presidential
campaign and again last year he
called distinguished people liars.
Several years ago Grover Cleve
land, between his two terms, when
he was not holding any public of
fice, applied wbat is usually regard
ed as the vilest epithet in the Eng
lish language to the then editor of
the New York Sun.
One feature of last week's sensa
tion, which excited much comment,
was the discovery of the close friend
ship between Senator Ben Tillman,
of South Carolina, and ex-Senator
Chandler, of New Hampshire, The
latter has not only been -one of the
noisiest wavers ot the bloody shirt,
and opposed to separate ears for the
races, hut in the railroad rate bill
fight the interests which he repre
sents arc directly opposed to the in
terests of Senator Ben Tillman’s con
stituents.
Chandler is said to own largo cot
ton mills in New England. He
wanta the Interstate Commerce
Commission to have power to make
rates. Commissioner Pronty haB nl
ready intiinated that if he gets the
power he will sec that New England
cotton mills are given lower rates to
tho west, and thus give them an ad
vantage over southern mills in ship
ping to market.
At ipreeent tho rate on cotton
goods from Atlanta to Chicago, and
from Now England to Chicago, are
the eamo. However, the rates from
New England to Chicago aro 18 per
cent lower than from the Carolines
to Chicago.
It is also believed that a majority
of the present commission would try
to make rates to enable the eastern
trank- lines to carry more grain to
New York and Boston as against

Hurry at Meaia Will Send You In MHIl 11 rug

Eat in haste and repent at leis
ure” is an old saying brought np to
date.
Hurry at. breakfast ineaus a bad
sturt for the day, and if you hurry
also at the other meals, you will soou
suffer with loss of appetite, sleepless
ness, nervousness, furred tongue,
specks before the eyes, headaches,
buck-aches, weakness and debility,
indigestion, or other ills that are
caused by an abused stomach.
Here in Tifton, as in thousands of
other places over the country, hurry
at meals increases the druggist'
business."’ Not a day passes that
Mills Drug Company do sell sevpral
packages of Mi o-na stomach tablets
to those who have ruined their diges
tion by uot taking time to eat.
Of course indigestion has many
other causes, but whatever the cause,
the remedy is the same, Mho-no. It
cures any acidity there may be, in
creases the flow of the gastric juices,
and uctually gives strength and tone
to the whole digestive system, so that
yon can soon eat anything at any
time without fear of indigestion.
Mills Drug Company have seen so
many cures made by Mi-o-na that
they sell it tinder an absolute guarn-
tee that-it will be successful in every
case where it is nsed ip accordance
with directions, that is, one tablet
before each meal, and will refund
the money to anyone whom it does
not help. A large boz of Mi-o-na
tablets costs but 50 cents if it cures;
nothing if it fails.
And this is said to he what Chan
dler is playing for.

Women as Well as Men
Are Made Miserable by
Kidney Trouble.
Kidney trouble preys upon the mind, dis
courages and lessens ambition: beauty, vigor
and cheertulness soon
disappear when the kid
neys are out of order
or diseased.
Kidney trouble has
become so prevalent
that It is not uncommon
for a child to be born
afflicted with weak kid
neys. If the child urin
ates too often, if the
urine scalds the flesh or if, when the child
reaches an age when it should be able to
control the passage, it is yet afflicted with
bed-wetting, depend upon it. the cause of
the difficulty is kidney trouble, and the first
step should be towards the treatment of
these important organs. This unpleasant
trouble is due to a diseased condition of the
kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as
most people suppose.
Women as well as men are made mis
erable with kidney and bladder trouble,
and both need the same great remedy.
