a little while between trains in Iniss,
Sunday morning.
Mr. S. F. Overstreet was a busi
ness visitor to Iniss Monday.
Monday about noon two negroes
entered the watermelon field of Mr.
J. B. McNeil and after picking all
the berries they wanted, then
pulled two melons, sitting down on
the railroad to eat them. As soon
as they were discovered they fled,
but were pursued by Mr. McNeil to
Arnold Creek, where they took the
swamp, and escaped.

Change in Schedule.
Sunday, June 21st, the Atlanta,
Birmingham & Atlantic raiload will
inaugurate a through schedule from
Tifton to Atlanta.
Only a slight change will be made
in the local schedule at Tifton.
Train No. 18, which now leaves Tif
ton, northbound, at 9:27 a. m., will
leave at 9:55 a. m., arriving at Fitz
gerald at 10:50, where direct connec
tion is made for Atlanta.

Sing at Omega.
The all-day singing at Omega Sun
day was a record-breaker, as report
ed by a visitor.
The music, led by Messrs. J. L.
Pickard, S. M. Hall, Warren Baker,
Mayo Kendall, O. T. Hall, C. D.
Sauls and J. H. Hutchinson, with
Misses Baker, Norman, Smith, New
ton, Nesmith and Clark, and Mis.
Wiley Burch as organists, was fine
and well selected.
Dinner was served at the grounds,
as usual on these occasions.
The entire day was spent in sing
ing and social enjoyment. The esti
mated number of people present
was about six hundred. Every re
port says a good time for everybody
and it must be true, as Omega never
does things by halves.
Mr*. D. S. Fletcher Dead.
Mrs. D. S. Fletcher, of Ty Ty,
died of cancer, at her home Tuesday
at 1 p. m.
She leaves a husband and twelve
children, who are joined by their
many friends in sorrow at their sad
Her remains were buried at Ty Ty
Wednesday, Rev. Geo. P. Hendry,
assisted by Rev. C. E. Walters, con
ducting the funeral.
