Mr. E. B. Gay, who for some
time has been attending school at
Valpariso, Ind., was called hom e to
assume the responsibilities of his
father's business during his illues9.
Mr. J. L. Gay’s friends will be
ipleased to learn, however, that he
is improving.
Messrs, Babe Griffin and Waiter
Rogers, from Eastman, were the
guests of the latter’s brother, Mr.

Before, her marriage, Mrs. Boze
man was Miss Mary Shiver, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Shiver,
and was born in the western part of
Worth county July 6th, 1839, be
ing 77 years of age in July before 1
her death. She married Mr. John
B. Bozeman in early womanhood
and to this union six children were
bom, five of whom are living, four
sons and one daughter: J. D. Boze
man, of Ty Ty; W. H. Bozeman, of
Sale City; J. R. Bozeman, of Cot
ton, Mitchell county; C. A. Boze
man, of Blountstown, Fla.; and
Mrs. Lizzie McLeliand, of Wright’s
Chapel. One son, Jake N. Bozeman,
’ died about ten years ago.
> Mrs. Bozeman had been for
twenty-four years a consistent mem
ber of the Missionary Baptist
ehorch. She was buried Sunday
afternoon at Cool Springs ceme
tery. in Mitchell county, a large
delegation of sorrowing relatives
and friends following the remains
to their last resting place. The
•ervices were conducted by Rev.
Ifewton Bennett.

Miss Priscilla Jones visited
school Monday afternoon.
Mr. J. O. Piper is erecting a
nice house in Chula where they will
move as soon as it is finished.
Our Sunday School is still pro
grossing. Everybody is invited to

Section L Be it enacted br ibe Gen
eral Assembly of the state of. Georgia, .

emended by adding to* and at. the end
of said paragraph, the.following .words,
to witt “The.General..Assembly' shall ■
further have- power to. exempt from tax
ation, ships and vessels engaged txclu-

and operated by Georgia citizens,
or Georgia corporations. Provided, that
