The Southern Express Company
has purchased the Alex Kemp build
ing, facing the new union passenger
station across Central avenue, and
will occupy it the last of the week.
The purchase price was $3,250;
the deal was made Friday and clos
ed today.
Workmen began today remodeling
the building and preparing it for the
Express Company. This work will
■probably be finished by the last of
the week, and the building will be oc
cupied at once by Agent Ed. Rabun
and his force.
With the building of the new sta
tion, the Express Company was left
without a home, there being no room
in the new station for an express
office. This put the officials of the
Southern to looking around and Su
perintendent Wolfe and other offi
cers made several trips here. The
Kemp building, as finally selected, is
the very best site they could hvae-
It is convenient to the station and
to trains on either track. At the price
paid, the building is considered a bar
gain.
The new building will also give
the express people r oom they have
long needed for hadling their busi
ness here. Altogether, the change is
one of the best things the public gets
with the new passenger station. The
express business is now entirely away
from passenger travel, but the loca
tion is even more convenient for the
public than the old one was.

December. Term Will be Ad
journed Until January.
There will be no December term
of Tift Superior Court. This was
stated in a letter from Judge Thom
as to Clerk Webb, received Monday
morning.
Judge Thomas has not yet sent
formal notice of adjournment, out
will probably come to Tifton next
Monday and adjourn the December
term over until the second Monday
in January when Judge Eve will con
vene the first term for the Tifton
Judicial Circuit
As the two terms come so close to
gether, it was not considered neces
sary to hold both, and the adjourn
ment of the December term was
thought of probably for some time.
However, this probability was not a
certainty until Monday morning,
when formal notice from Judgo
Thomas was received.

The moment “Pape’s" Diapeptin
reaches the stomach all distress
goes.
Do some foods you cat hit back-
taste good, but work badly; ferment
into stubborn lumps and cause a sick
sour, gassy stomach? Now, Mr. or
Mrs. Dyspeptic, jot this down: Pape’s
Diapepsin digests everything leaving
nothing to sour and upset you. There
never was anything so safely quick,
so certainly effective No difference
how badly your stomach is disorder
ed you will get happy relief in five
minutes, but what pleases you most
is that it strengthens and regulates
your stomach so 70U can cat your fa
vorite foods without fear.
Most remedies give you relief
sometimes—they are slow, but not
suie. “Pape's Diapepsin” is quiek,
positive and puts your stomach in
a healthy condition so the misery
won’t come back.
You fee) different as soon as
‘ Pape’s Diapepsin” comes in con
tact with the stomach—distress just
vanishes—your stomach gets sweet,
no gases, no belching, no eructations
of undigested food, your head clears
and you feel fine.
Go now, make the best investment
you ever made, by getting a large
fifty-; ent case of Pope’s Diapepsin
from any drug store. You realize in
five minutes how needless it is to
suffer from indigestion, dyspepsia or
any stomach disorder.
Interesting Session of Tift County
Educators Saturday.
The Tift county teachers met on
Sa'urday at 10 a. m. for the purpose
of organzing their regular monthly
institute, but owing to changes to
tak place in 1917 this was not done.
It Is the intention of Superintendent
Brittain to call together three or
more counties and hold a week’s in
stitute at some time and place to be
selected later, instead of the month
ly institutes as in the past.
The compulsory education law,
goes into effect January 1st, was ex
plained by Superintendent Kersey.
Twenty-four schools wore repre
sented. Omega school leads in en
rollment, having enrolled 253. Re
ports from teechers show the schools
do'ng good .work.
Dr. Fort gave an interesting talk
on his work nnd the co-operation
given him by both people and teach
crs.
Mrs. N. F Person’s talk of the
club and its work for this school year
was as usual an inspiration to the
teachers. She made known that a
nursery in Florida had presented
each school in the county two Japan
ese persimmon trees. Five years
hence a premium is to be given to
school by donor for the best tree.
How to keep our boys and girls
in school after reaching seventh
grade was very ably discussed by
Mi. G V. Cunningham.
New Discovery! Dodson’s Liver Tone Acts Like Calomel But Doesn’t Gripe,
Salivate or Make You Sick—Don’t Lose a Day’s Work—Harmless Liver
Medicine for Men, Women, Children—Read Guarantee!
Ugh! Calomel makes you sick. It's horrible!
Take a dose of the dangerous drug tonight and
tomorrow you may lose a day's work.
Calomel is mercury or quicksilver which causes
necrosis of the bones. Calomel, when it comes in
to contact with sour bile crashes into it, breaking
it up. This is when you feel that awful nausea
and cramping. If you are sluggish and “all
knocked out,” if your liver is torpid and bowels
constipated, or you have headache, dizziness, coated
tongue, if breath is bad or stomach sour, just try a
spoonful of harmless Dodson’s Liver Tone tonight.
Here’s my guarantee—Go to any drug store
and get a 50 cent bottle of Dodson's Liver Tone.
Take a spoonful and if it doesn’t straighten you
right up and make you feel fine and vigorous I /
want you to go back to the store and get your
money. Dodson’s Liver Tone is destroying the
sale of calomel because it is real liver medicine;
entirely vegetable, therefore it can not salivate or
make you sick.
I guarantee that one spoonful of Dodson’s Liver
Tone will put your sluggish liver to work and
clean your bowels of that sour bile and constipated
waste which is clogging your system and making
you feel miserable. I guarantee that a bottle of*
Dodson’s Liver Tone will keep your entire family
feeling fine for months. Give it to your children.
It is harmless; doesn’t gripe and they like its pleas
ant taste.

prior to November 14th, 19,059 bales
