A special meeting was held at the
Tifton Methodist church at 4:80
Sunday afternoon for the purpose
of discussing the establishment of
workroom in Tifton (for the Tift
County Red Cross Chapter.
There was quite a good attendance
The meeting was called to order by
Chairman Fort with prayer by Re'
Mathews. The Chnliman then stated
the Durpose of the meeting.
A very gratifying report was made
by the Treasurer in which it
shown that over J400 of Red Croaa
funds was now on hand for the
work in Tift county, this being about
one-fourth of the sum raised here
for Red Cross work.
Mrs- Kent being absent in Savan
nah, Mr*. N. Peterson was called
to supply her talk on the Red Cross
workroom, and she told what
being done in Montezuma and At
lanta, in the workmans she had
visited in those cities. Judge Kent
followed with * talk on what he knew
of this especial work.
