loads containing 78 young Pcrcheron
here Tuesday afternoon and

Goff. Some of them are unbroken.
Mr. ft. T. Tatum received a tele
gram Monday from bis brother Willie
who went to France with the first
infantry contingent of the American
Expeditionary forces. Evidently
ne of the boys are returning home,
for the telegram was sent from New
York wher« Willie arrived Monday
morning.

Tuesday night by Policeman Mullis
on a charge of violating the prohibi
tion law. He had a suit case fuJJ
of half pints of liquor, but claimed
that he had picked it up where some
one set it off the trail!.
Mr. A. H. Royal arrived this morn
ing from San Antonio, Texas. Hun
ter joined the army last spring, and
has been quartered at Ft Sam Hous-
on. He suffered an attack of appen.
dicitis several weeks ago and under
went an operation. A relapse sent
him back to the hospital again and
he finally got a discharge from service
