Mr. K. C. Chancellor, who lives on

pahs, was arrested in Tifton late
Thursday afternoon for being drunk
and cursing. He was taken to the
jaQ by Policeman Mollis and Mr.
Cumby. After they got inside the
jail. Mr. Chancellor is said to have
resisted and struck Mr. Cumby. In
the excitement that followed, Mr.
Chancellor is dald to have fallen
gainst one of the iron cots, break
ing his nose and inflicting a flesh
wound on the aide ofthe head. He
was taken to the hospital and was re
ported to tie resting very well Fri
day morning. A gun and two pint*
of liquor were found on Chancellor.
