London, July 11.—The British troops again
advanced south of the Somme, improving their po
sitions east of Villers-Bretonneaux last night, Field
Marshal Haig announced today.
Paris, July 9.—Striking between Montdidier
and the Oise river the French troops with the aid
of tanks advanced more than a mile on a front of
two and a half miles, northwest of Compiegne,
this morning.
