POPE HARRIS IN
Mr. Poi>e Harris, formerly with the
Bank of Tifton, arrived in Tifton Mon
day morning from New York, having re-1
ceived his discharge, from the Navy.
Mr. Harris' many friends in Tifton
are glad to see him back, but they -Will
learn with regret that he ia to b® With
us only two days. He has accepted a
position In the National City Bank of
New' York and will leave for that dtj

Pope says he is glad of his experience
but doesn't want to go through it again.
He says his greatest regret now is that
he is to leave Tifton; that no matter
where he goes he will always remember
Tifton.
We regret the loss of Pope, but wish
him success in his new position and pre
dict for him a splendid career.

Harry Kulbersh was busy Tuesday
moving the stock of dry goods recently
bought from H. Bcgraves and Company
at Eldorado, to his store in Tifton.
At the regular monthly meeting of the
County Commissioners held Monday,
nothing of importance was done, only
routine matters being transacted.
