EMPTY BARN BURNED
The fire alarm was turned in Sunday
morning about 12.30, for a barn in the
rear of a house occupied by Mr. Hall*
wan, on Lamp Hill in the eastern part
of town. The barn was the property
of Mr. J. B. Murrow, but was empty
when burned. The,fire was caused by
the woods burning.
The barn was almost burned to the
ground when the fire department arrived,
and then sufficient pressure could not
be secured to put a stream on the fire.
The Fire Department was also called
on Sunday to put out woods burning near
the home of Mr. Lennon Bowen, in the
western part of town.
