in lira escape. In 1825, Pe.uline died

of the State , near the Coweta Falls on the
Chattalioochie river—Will be sob! in the
town of Columbus, on Thursday, the

of half an acre each, in the plan of said
town ;
Twenty-five Gardening Lots of ten a
ores each, on the North. East and South
of the square reserved for the town and
common, and adjoining the same. Twen
ty Lots of twenty acres each—seventy
eijit lots of one hundred acres each, and
thirty one fractional parts of survey.
The local advantages of this town —the
rich and extensive back country it ha*
already at command, and the increasing
importance it will derive from the cession
of the lands on the west of the Chatta
hone,hie river, will insure to it a degree
of commercial importance not surpassed
by any other town in Georgia. 1 lie
town is situated on the east side of the
river, iintn diately below the falls, which
admits of a safe and convenient navigation
for steamboats from thence to Apilachi
