Beautiful Loving Cup at
“Hamricks.”
The exhibitor who enters the
io highest scoring chickens at
the A. & M. Fair three times,
will not only have that disiino
tion, but will also be the proud
owner ot a handsome loving cup,
the gilt of the enterprising
jeweler Dr. J. D. Hamrick.
This cup is on exhibition in
Hamrick's window and it is one
ot the prettiest pieces ot silver
that we have seen in quite a long
time. It is the product of
the Gorham Silver Co. of Gin-
cinnatti, O.
It has been attracting much
attention and many favorable
comments have been heard. It
is certainly wortn trying for it'
sell, regardless ot the honor it
will be to the person who gets
it. Drop into Hamrick’s store
when downtown, they will be
pleased ;to t have you call and
see it.
It’s a pity when sick ones drug
ths stomach or stimulate the Heart
and Kidneys. That is all wrong! A
weak Stomach, means weak stom
ach nerves, always. And this is also
true of the Heart and Kidneys. The
weak nerves are instead crying out
for help. This explains why Dr.
Shoop’s Restorative is promptly
helping Stomdch Heart, and Kid
ney ailments. The Restorative
reaches out for the actual cause of
these ailments-the failing ‘‘inside
nerves.” Anyway test the Restor
ative 48 hours. It won’t cure so
soou asthat, but Jyou will surely
know that help is coming. Sold by
Camp Drug Co.

while nothing could give him
greater pleasure than to accept
his last commission from the
son of the man who had given

An Exciting Chase.
About eight-thirty Tuesday
morning three negroes, who
were confined in the county jail
on various charges, made their
escape and fled to the woods
north east of town .
Bill Bonner, the negro man
who wans upon the prisoners,
was knocked down and painful
ly injured but managed to get
the door shut belore any more
made their escape.
The county’s dogs brought
from the convict camp and put
upon the trail were followed by
Sheriffs Garrett and Jone3, and
about one hundred men and boys
many of whom had never seen a
bloodhound in full cry upon a
man’s trail, After an exciting
chase lor three or four miles two
of the fugitives were run to earth
but the other made good his esi
cape and up to the present time
has not been caught, although
the Sheriff’ and his posse spent
all day and part of the night
seaiching for him. Sht r ff Gar
rett was in no way to blame for
the escape, but he does deserve
praise for the good work done
in returning two of them to jail
in a lew hours.

Family Reunion.
A very pleasant affair was the
gathering tongther of the sons
and daughters of Mr. and Mrs.
Singleton Walker at their resi
dence on Route 2., on September
7th 1909 to participate in the
joys of a family reunion. At an
early hour they began to arrive
and soon the echo of childish
footsteps and the sound of child
ish laughter gave evidence that
the grandchildren were also in
cluded in this occasion.
When all had arrived, pho
tographer Buyers made a group
ot the entire assembly after which
one was made of the little tots
alone.
Many were the pleasures and
joys in store for those fortunate
enough to be present. Not the
least by any means was the
bounteous table loaded with
every good thing, which had
been thoroughly provided by the
children each cringing a well
filled basket.
The afternoon was spent in
pleasant conversation and the
indulgence of ice cream, lemon
ade, and other things too numer
ous to be mentioned.
There were present five sons
and three daughters, three sons
in-law and three daughters-in
law and twelve grunrichi'drer,.
