He sent out invitations to all

and all was ready, the room pre
pared for. them was opened and
they were invited to come in.
On entering the room they
saw “Uncle Bob,” as they call
) him, seated near the fire and in
in the center of the room was a
lyge table all covered with can-
W* oranges and nuts, around
which Uncle Bob invited them
to gather -and help themselves
to their liking.
After they had eaten of these
nice things to their entire satis:
faction Uncle Bob began to diss
tribute different kinds of fire
works such as crackers, spark
lers, etc. and then the real fun
began.
The twenty-five or thirty
children that were present will
never forget that day and dear
Uncle Bob who made it so hap*
py for them.
They all thanked him aud
went home full of joy and good
will.

to many of his friends over the

under consideration, but from a
desire to serve his friends as long
as possible, the announcement
was only recently made to take
effect Jan- 1st.
Mr. J. L. Webb was appointed
to succeed Mr. Jones. A more
suitable man could not have
been found perhaps |to fill this
