' at the sitlation from the unpreju
I diced point of reality. Now, il
brother Reeves is stone blind,
kind reader, you must pleac s
excuse me when I ask him to
take a complete view of the at,
fairs as they really are, and then
come again and tell us the re
sult of his investigation * this is
all I could ask of him.
Brother, I beg you to study
the situation thoroughly, and
then if you are wise as we guess
you’ll be, you cannot lail »o see
and realize the harm resulting
from our all day Sunday picnics.
Think, brother, how many
tired mothers and horses are
overworked and imposed upon
because of these. Stop and think
how our Sundayschools are
suffering from them and how
the sad neglect of studying God’s
Holy Word is resulting in the
the folly and worldly minded'
ness of the youths of our land
Think how little we reverence
the blessed Sabbath day that
God commanded us to keep
holy and then consider how
far we have strayed from the
narrow way.
Now, do you not see?
Little wonder that our fields
ore visited by excessive heat
and cold causing disaster after
disaster upon us.
Little wonder that God has
poured out the floods of His dis
vine wrath on our land. Was it
ever thus? Nay, verily, nay!
Oh ! but you say that the times
have changed.
Ah, yes, my brother, they are
vastly different to those ol old,
but do you not know that is the
change in the heart of mankind?
Think of our present relation to
God. What kind of a position
do we occupy brother? “Shall
we continue in sin? God forbid !’’
Is not God’s word verily true?
Does it not assure us that if we
disobey these things will come
upon us? Then why, or how
can we allord to enj >y worldly
pleasure at both temporal and
spiritual blessings?
QBrother, we cannot.
How many souls have been
converted at one ot your all day
“singings’ without the preach
ing of God’s word? I challenge
you to produce one single in
stance of the ktnd. I know of
not one.
But alas! how many of our
young men and women are led
away from the study of the
Book of Life into drunkness and
follv bv having everted the
Sabbath school for the all day
singing?
Brother Reeves we desire
youi “good songs,’’ but not in
such way as to cause us to
forget God and His precious
word.
Yours for Christ,
John Milton Samples.

CURES
.SKIN DISEASES
There is an evaporation from the body going on continually, day and
night, through the pores and glands of the skin. This is nature’s way of
maintaimng the proper temperature of our systems and preserving the soft
ness and flexibility of the skin, and so long as the blood is free from impur
ities uoi trouble will result. When, however, the blood from any cause
becomes infected with humors and acids, these too must be expelled, and
coming in contact with the delicate fibres and tissues with which the skin is
so abundantly supplied they produce irritation and inflammation, and the
-fleet is shown by Eczema, Acne, Tetter, and skin affections of various kinds.
These impunties and humors get into the bipod through a deranged or
inactive condition of the system ; the members whose duty it is to carry off
the waste aud refuse matter of the body fail to properly perform their work,
and this impure, fermenting matter is left in the system to be absorbed by
the blood. The skin is not only affected by poisons generated within the
system, but poisons from without,
such as: Poison Oak, Poison Ivy,
Nettle Rash, etc., enter through the
open pores and glands, and so thor
oughly do they become rooted in the
blood that they are ever present,
or return at certain seasons of each
year to torment the sufferer. Salves,
washes, lotions, etc., cannot cure skin
diseases. True, such treatment re
lieves some of the itching and dis
comfort, and aids in keeping the skin
clean, but it does not reach the real
cause, and at best can be only palli
ating and soothing. A thorough
cleansing of the. blood is the only certain cure for skin diseases. S. S. S.,
a gentle anting, safe blood purifier, made entirely of vegetable ingredients
of the forest and field, is the proper treatment. S. S. S. goes down into the
circulation, and neutralizes the acids and humors, thoroughly cleansing and
purifying the blood, and curing skin affections of every kind. It supplies
to the lood the fresh, nutritive qualities necessary to sustain the skin and
all other parts of the body, and rids the blood of any and all poisons. S. S. S.
cures Eczema, Tetter, Acne, Salt Rheum, Poison Oak and Ivy, Nettle Rash,
and all other skin troubles, and cures them permanently by removing every
trace of the cause from the blood. Special book on Skin Diseases and any
medical advice desired furnished free to all who write.
THE SWIFT SPECIFIC CO., ATLANTA, .GAi
I have used your S. S. S., spring and fa!!,
for the past two years, with the result that It
entirely relieved me of a form of Eczema
which my doctor was unable to cure. My
arms, lower limbs, and, in fact, the biggest
portion of my whole body was affected, and
when I first began S. S. S. the Itching, etc.,
was wonse, but I continued the remedy with
the res Jt that the dry, itching eruption en
tirely disappeared. I think a great deal of
your medicine, and have recommended it to
others with good results. It is the best blood
medicine made, and I can conscientiously
recommend it for tho cure of all blood and
skin affections. CHAS. HORSTMAN.
