ADAMSON, Puesidentfc JNO. M. JACKSON, Vice-Pres. G. C. COOK Cashier. Rev. Thos. W. Dimmock Ex presses his Appreciation The following is a letter of ap preciation from our worthy add much beloved Sunday School MU sionary, Mr. Thos. W. Dimmock, who for more than 32 years has toiled unceasingly to bring every child within the border of the Sunday School As many know most of his work has been done in the little “out of the way” places, and among the neglected where Sunday Schools are almost unknown, and ignorance of the Bible alarmiug. During the past year nearly one thousand Bibles and Testaments have been furnished by him to needy Sunday Schools and destitute fami lies, and fast as his funds will allow him he is gathering in the neglected and placing in their hands the open Bible, thus laying, the foundation for moral and religious character of the future citizens of our county and country. And to show their appreciation in a small way the Sunday Schools of the county com bined and made Bro. Dimmock a Christmas gift Carrollton, Ga, Dec. 26, 1910. * Judge Jas. Beall, Mr. J. A. Lyle, Rev. W. E. Dozier, Committee: My Dear Brethren:- I have received your very kind favor of the 24th inst enclosing a check as a Christmas gift, as you say from "some of the Sunday Schools of the county, and your numerous friends and fellow- laborers in the county." I wish to assure you that this Christmas pres ent is very thankfully received and most highly appreciated, coining as it did so very unexpectedly, and with your very kind words and wishes, which I assure you are "as cold waters to a thirsty sold.” There are times in life when lan guage fails to express the feelings of the heart, and this is one of those times when any words I can com mand fail to convey the sincere gratitude I feel to you, and to each one who has in any way contribut ed, in word or deed, to this gift. This expression of consideration and kindness towards me touches me with the very deepest emotions of gratitude and thankfulness to one and all. For more than thirty-two years I have been endeavoring, so far as I could, to extend the blessings of the Sunday School cause throughout this and other counties in our state. Sometimes, it may be, getting some what discouraged over failures, loosing sight, for the time, of God’s precious promise that His word "shall not return unto him void." Then it is that such words and deeds as yours are as precious pearls, “sweeter than honey or the honey comb.” I take it that it is for the work’s sake, I v am endeavoring to do, and for His sake “whose I am, and whom I serve,” that has caused you to thus give expression to your good will, I wish to assure you, and through you, the members of every Sunday School in our county, that this great kindness can never be forgotten, but so long as life shall last my earnest prayer shall ever be that God, even our own God; shall abuneantly bless you in your Sunday Schools, homes and hearts in all things ip this life, and finally through riches of grace grant unto one and all a happy home in that home in that house not made with hands. I remain, Yours very sincerely in this work in His name, fThos, W. Dimmock, Pres. Carroll County S. S. A. Program, Missionary Society "the Woman’s Foreign Missionary Society of the M.
