It is very important that every
citizen of Carroll County meet this
train, as it is an educational train
with both the theoretical and prac
tical side presented. The train
carries a car of prize cattle, with
other cars of agricultural products,
different farming machinery, differ
ent kinds of soil, different kinds of
fertilizers, etc., with demonstrations
of feeding cattle for the best results
the application and use of fertilizers
to procure the greatest yield, an d
the use of the most improved farm
ing implements.
It is an opportunity for the farm
ers of the county to attend the agri
cultural college on wheels that does
not present itself every day. It is
also opportunity to boost and adver
tise Carroll County in a way that
will give us position in the front
ranks of the agricultural counties of
the state, and every citizen should
embrace these opportunities while
they are presented.

Clean-Up Day
I noticed a while back' in
Free Press,:a.suggestion of someone
about a "cleaning-up day" in Car
rollton. The writer said that his
suggestion would be treated lightly
as stuff, and foolishness, but if it is
thus considered it certainly ought
not to be. It is a downright shame
to see the many large loads of trash
and litter that the scavenger wagon
hauls off every day or so, and the
most of it gathered up within two
hundred yards of the monument,
let alone what could be gathered up
all over town.
Now this refuse, besides being
ugly and an eyesore, is conducive
ot ul health, bleeding germs, bugs,
and such things. Some old fogy
will say ‘what did we do before now
to escape from all these dangers,
our death rate was no greater than
other places, etc.” That all may be
true, and yet some people like pro
gress, and when a remedy is dis
covered for these unsavory things
they want to apply that remedy.
There is no reason or argument that
can be adduced against cleanliness,
and ones"pr<jmises need cleansing
and purifying as much as his body.
Let the council act and set a day
for everybody to dean up . their
premises. Reader.

age been returned. Next time you
have a cold get a package, take
them, and in twenty-four hours you
won’t know you ever had a cold.
