Thomasson—Campbell
On last Wednesday evening at
7:45 o’clock, at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J.
Thomasson, on Maple street, Miss
Eva Lelia Thommasson and Mr.
William Scott Campbell were united
in marriage, the ceremony being
performed by Rev. R. A. Edmond
son. of the First Methodist church,
in a most impressive manner. On
account of the recent bereavement
in the family the marriage was a
very quiet affair, only the near rela
tives withessing the ceremony.
Miss Thommasson is a young
woman of splendid and charming
characteristics, and for several
years she has been one of the most
competent teachers in the Carroll
ton Public schools.
Mr. Campbell is one of our most
substantial citizens, noted for his
integrity of character and business
qualifications.
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell left on the
8:15 train for Atlanta, and from
there they go to Borden-Wheeler
Springs for a few days, after which
they will be at home on Stewart
street.

There are many preparations
which keep away mosquitoes. Un
fortunately the most of them are as
unpleasant to the persons using
them as they are to the mosquitoes
themselves. PENSLAR SKEETER

otherwise to man} It is well called

Words fail us when we try to
frame our gratitude, our apprecia
tion and our love to the people of
Carrollton and elsewhere for their
tender ministries to our precious
daughter and loved one during her
brief illness, and for the tokens of
love and esteem from them and
from friends in other parts of Geor
gia and other states. Every act of
kindness, every service to her while
she was still with us, every prayer
for her recovery and strength to
bear our loss, every hand clasp,
every sympathetic tear, every word
of kindness, every loving token,
every flower upon her new made
grave, every message from far and
near awaken in our bleeding hearts
sentiments of love and appreciation
too deep for utterance, too profound
for expression. May the God she
served with such simple and beau
tiful devotion and the Spirit who
dwelt in her young heart at all
times, and the Saviour with whom
she walked day by day and whom
she loved and trusted as a personal
friend, be with you all and influence
your lives as they did hers. God
bless you every one.
