talk of the day in Douglas.
Mr. Tom Friddell, who has been
i very sick, is much better at this
writing.
Mr. Parks Shannon is very sick.
His friends hope for him a speedy
recovery.
Aunt Jane Griffith is very low at
this writing.
'l’he only child of Mr. and Mrs.
Dee Bartlett was called to its heav
enly home the 31st of May, and was
laid to rest the 1st day of June,
Rev. D. W. Carter conducting the
funeral services.
There is a lot of sickness around
here, and we need a good doctor at
McWhorter. It would be a fine lo
cation for a doctor.
Mrs. George Griffith has return
ed from Columbus, where she has
been visiting for some time.
Mrs. Gus 'Sticher is able to be up
after a week’s sickness.
Mr. .1. II. Taylor is shaking hands
with the voters of Douglas and
other counties. He is a candidate
for clerk of the courts.
There will be an all-dav singing
at Friendship the third Sunday in
June. Everybody invited.
