‘ ‘ After traveling through South Car
olina, Florida, Alaboma. and Georgia, ’ ’
said Mr. Fisher, * ‘ we, have decided that
Carrollton is the logical place for ut
and our line. (And Mr. Fisher states
that h«( has socn some wonderful
places.)
Mr. Fisher nnd family have come to
live among and with tho good people
of Carrollton and Carroll county.
One of the considerations which help
ed to determine Mr. Fisher to cast his
lot among the people of Carrollton and
Carroll county, was tho cordial recep
tion, which he received from everybody
ho met hero.
Mr. Fisher is now making nlctora-
tions in tho storo building formerly oc
cupied by Ellis Brothers on Newman
street, which place will be prepared to
fill tho noeds of nn up-to-date 5c, 10c
and 25c store.
Mr. Flslior formerly had experience
with tho Kress 5c. and 10c stores nnd
was pronounced by Kress ns one of
his best men in this particular lino of
business.
Mr. Fisher has also had several years
of experience operating a very success
ful 5c, 10c adn 25c store at Cedartown,
which store he sold a very handsome
price.
Mr. Fisher appreciates very much the
warm welcome and tho many courtesios
•which have been shown him and he do
sires to roccivo suggestions nnd o.riti<
cisms that lie may make this store
serve the interests of the people.
Wo are authorized to state that Mr-
Fisher will have an opening day, when
he and his family will make their for
mal bow to the people of this section.
Full notices of this opening day wil 1
be given through the columns of this
paper at a later dnto. Everybody in
vited to conic into this store on thi
opening day and meet. Mr. Fisher and
Mb family and inspect the largo and
varied stock of 5o, 10c nnd 25c art!
clcs.
A NOTE FROM MR. FISHER.
I taiVe come to mnki 'iny home trith
you. Many of you have extended us a
hearty welcome which I surely approci
ate. After traveling around for more
than two months looking for a location
have decided that Carrollton is the
place for us, and we arc glad that wc
are now-citizens of Carrollton, and have
already begun to feel at home here.
M. L. FISHER,
“The 10c Man.’
The following excerpt, from the
“Bod and Blncfc” published by the
students of Georgia University, will ho
read with interest by tho friends of
Mr. J. C. Bonner nnd of his pnronts,
Mr. nnd Mrs. W. A. Bonner:
In a lively nnd spirited •argument
Inst Friday night the Sophomore debate
of tho Agricultural Club resulted in n
victory for the negative, championed
by ,T. C. Bonner and I. V. Chandler.
The subject for discussion was: “Re
solved, That the United States govern
ment, should establish a rural credit so
ciety^ on the principles of the Kenyon-
McFnfldcu Bill.” Clovis Turk nnd J.
\Y. Jnckson uphold the affirmative
while President F. D. Chastain of the
chili served ns mnstor of ccremolnies,
Tt would hardly be fair lo pick out
one man from the four and hand him a
bouquet, as the best debater, but stll 1
the work of Benner in his prepared
speech showed a higher degree of pol
ish and a stronger argument tlinn the
others. Tn the rebuttal the competition
was much closer, nnd no one outshone
the rest. *

Have You
Thought of This
In many wills where individuals are appointed
executors, time passes without the thought that each
year your chosen executor is growing older, with the
possibility of death or other contingencies overtaking
him.
By naming this Bank as executor, co-executor or
trustee these contingencies cannot occur and the ex
pense of our services are never greater than that of
an individual.
