Judge K, T. Steed, Carroll county’s
efficient ordinary, went over to Tnlln
poosa Tuesday evening and delivered
the literary address. The graduating ex
ercises were scheduled for this hour, and
an immense crowd had assembled for
the execises and to hear the very able
address that Judgo Stood so forceably
and so enthusiastically delivered. The
school and the audience wore filled with
“old time” enthusiasm.
The presentation of diplomas, medals
and prizes followed.
He was delighted with the efficiont
and proficient work that has been done
by tho Tallapoosa school.
Hoard county was the scene of an-*

thirteen belli weevils from his fields,
delivered to the office of County Agent
on Saturday tho 19th. The reward was
given by Citizens Bank.

arrived Monday, and is now iu chnrge.
Mr, Vaden comes from Alabama where
ho has been engaged teaching.

Jimmie Heard died this woek, from
excess drinking. Ho was 45 years old,
resided in Honrd county and woighed
about 75 pounds. Ho lind visited Car
rollton several limes.

The Association will hold its annual
meeting on next Wednesday afteritoon
at the high school 'auditorium at 4 o’-
clock, when it is earnestly urged that
