The number of miles any product travels before reaching your home dcesiYt
add one whit to its quality-more likely it will add to the price. There should be
no particular magic in a label because it bears the name of a distant city or state.
Distance may lend enchantment, but it unvariably adds to the price.

Dear Free Press:
On Saturday and Sunday last, our
church, the Camp Ground, held its regu
lar monthly meetings and had the usual
good preaching by tho Rev. R. P. Ta
tum, our appreciated pastor. Tho more
we hear him (ho bettor we like him.
Ho is a good old-time, Holy Ghost
preacher and, ns such, should be appre
ciated everywhere.
Mr. Tom Webb’s only cow diod on
Saturday night. She seemed nil right
when they milked her, but was dead
when tho.v went to milk her on Sunday
morning. Tom is a hard working,
popr man, with a largo family, and this
is a heavy loss to them. A little help
from all would be a Christian charity
now, we think.
Little Miss Marv Ballard is very
much better, wo are thankful to say.
Mr. Newton, a relie, hunter, and wife
wore through our community on Thurs
day last. We used to have a great
many of the old relics hero at the
old Indian hunting ground, and any one
who may have them now would do the
right thing to bring them to us, to
whom (hey liolong.
Bring the old Tomahawk,
The one made of copper,
Of which you’ve hoard so much talk,
As relie it’s a “wliapper.”
Bring along n pipe, too,
Made of copper, or stone;
They used them with stems two,
Whene’er their wars were done.
These were smoked to show
That their wars then must cease;
That people all might know,
They’d smoked the “pipe of pence.”
So bring them back, my friend,
Right on hack to me,
And be assured right then
Of thanks from J. W. B.
