HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED
.TO THINK—
THAT the city that gets the
publicity, gets the business?
THAT the city that gets the
advertising grows?
THAT advertising properly
done is worth its weight in
gold?
THAT advertising a city is
business, not a child’s play?
THAT people will go miles
to a good city to trade ?
THAT the property will in
crease in value when the out
side world knows your city is
wide awake?
THAT people from neigh
boring towns will come where
there is something doing?
THAT now is the time your
citv and business needs adver
tising more than ever before?
THAT if you don’t get out
and go after the outside trade
some neighboring city will?'
THAT if they do they will
get the business you should
get?
I will be in Carrollton after I finish my rounds till the 20tii
of December.

PROTECTION
THROUGH
THE CENTURIES
Y OUR desire to protect the remains of
your loved ones finds comforting assur
ance in the Clark Grave Vault. It is con
structed on a law of Nature.— the "diving
bell” principle, which is the only practical
"seal” known to science.
The Clark Grave Vault affords permanent
protection because it is least affected by
rust, or deterioration of any kind. It’s air
tight,water-tight—builttolastforcenturies.
Even though the Clark Grave Vault is
completely covered with water for years,
thdre will be no water inside. Twenty year*
of use prove this statement. It is made
entirely of twelve gauge Keystone copper
bearing steel. (Stone, brick and concrete
vaults let water in and hold it.)
We supply the Clark Grave Vault because
we realize a vault is worth while only when
it permanently protects. -

CRAVE VAULT
TRADE AT HOME
If you are sending your cash
out of town—doing business
with out-of-town concerns—
keep mum about the growth,
the industries, the advantages
or beauty of the town. You
have no boast coming. It is a
good town not because of you,
but in spite of you.
This community is made up
of individuals. Its prosperity
depends on individual effort.
If you send your money away
for goods that can be purchas
ed here, you injure your town
■and yourself.
When you buy from out-of-
town concerns, your money
ernes for good. Not one cent
of it ever comes back. None
of it pays for taxes. None of
if pays for store rent, clerk
hire, or does a blessed one of
the dozens of things accom
plished by home-spent money.
Suppose everyone in this city
and county sent away for his
merchandise. The town and 1
county would go to rack and
ruin. You wouldn’t be able
to give property away. There
would be little employment of
labor. Schools, churches, ev
erything of a public nature
would be stripped to poor
house poverty. There’s no rea
son why anyone should deal
with unknown concerns.
Your home-town merchant
carries the best grades of mer
chandise on the market. They
are goods of recognized merit.
They are sold at practically one
price the world over. You
know vou are getting full value
in quality. The biggest manu
facturers in the country insure
that with their trade marks.
Your purchases are protected.
There is no buying dissatisfac
tion, long waits, long distance
return costs, or delivery charge.
Your dealer appreciates
your trade. He puts forth
every effort to hold your trade
He becomes intimately ac_
nuainted with your likes and
dislikes — consequently can
serve you in the most satisfae
tory manner. And to ton off
all of these important advan
tages—your local merchant
can save you money.
Donate to the good of the
town and county by trading in
t own —and get the greatest
value for your dollars.
WHO PAYS THE BILL?
The fellow who pays the ad
vertising bill is the fellow who
doesn’t advertise. He pays
inst as surely and certainly as
if he went to the cash-drawer
and took the money out. The
only difference is that his cus
tomers’ dollars, instead of get
ting into the cash-drawer, pass
right by him and enter the
cash-drawer of the advertiser.
He is paying for the other fel
low’s advertising but is not be
ing benefited by it. Many non
advertisers have often wonder
ed who pays the large advertis
ing bills of their competitors,
not realizing that, they them
selves are paying most dearly
for it.
Why not stop paying the ad
vertising bill of your competi
tor and let some other fellow
start paying for your advertis
ing through the loss of busi
ness? Put the customer’s dol
lar into your store with adver
tising. For advertising is like
a magnet—the stronger it is,
the harder it pulls.—Buchanan
Tribune.

BE A BOOSTER
When the people stand back of the merchants you depend on i£
that the merchants will stand back of the town. When a merchant
prospers he is sure to invest his money in enterprises at home that will
irive more men and women work atgoocl wages because he knows that
plenty of work and good pay makes more business for him. Patroniz
ing home merchants is co-operation between buyer and seller ar 1-
ways boosts a town.
MORAL:—If the home town is not prosperous, organize an
ooerate and make it so.
