Hurst, Miss Mary liell and Miss Alta Maude Turner. The tenth grade is being taught there this term. Mrs. T. S. Bonner is at home from her school on account of illness. We wish for her a speedy recovery. The oyster stew given by Mrs. Ktlii’i Hoberson was enjoyed bv all present Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Bee Copeland were the gubsts of Mr. and Airs. John Burson Sunday. Miss Nina Dyer spent the week-end with Miss Mary Bell. We are sorry to say that Mr. thin Nixon is still on our sick list. We hope he will soon get over the men »les. Misses Dura Nixon, Buckie N'ixon, M'mn McGuire, Mr. Delos Swvgert anil Robert McGuire motored to Alabama Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Horton were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Smith Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie McGuire, from Texas, Ga., spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. li. T. Mc Guire. Old neighbors are moving out and new onos moving in in our community. Some one broke into Mr. W. W. Beavers’ store recently. The club has done some good work this year and hopes to “make the best better’’ next year. We are always glad to have our mothers visit us on chib day. There is a lot of moving in our com munity .just, now. Among those who are leaving us is Mr. W. S, Walker and family. We regret to have them leave us, but we welcome Mr. Armstrong and family who have moved into the house vacated bv Mr. Walker. We have been having a very good at tendance in school despite the rainy weather. We are having a series of spelling matches—the seventh and eighth grades against the fourth, fifth and sixth. The side that wins two out of three Fridays will win a prize. On Friday afternoon Elizabeth Harris High school played basket ball against the sophomore class of Carrollton High.
