The evening was spent in music,
recitations and reading. Several
books were donated .to the League
Library. Refreshments were sei veil
which made the program complete.
All went, away happy' and will look
forward to the next social gathering
of the League with anticipated
pleasure.
A Child Dead.
The infant chilli of Mr. and Mrs.
W A Coble died yesterday after an
illness of only a few hours. 11 was
only two weeks old but was appar
ently well up to a few hours before
its death. The Chronicle extends
sympathy to the bereaved parents in
this hour of alilietion.
