A burglar killed

Robbing the Store
of S. B. Reid.
The store house of S II Reid ill

the brick chimney.
Mr. Reid was forced to put a
watch over his store, which is a
mile from his residence, and last
night the watchman, a negro by the
name of Halt Ragans, caught the
robber making tils entrance into the
store; whereupon he (the watchman)
ran to the home of Mr. Reid and
awoke Mr. Harold Beall, the clerk.
The two armed themselves and ran
back to the store in time to catch
the robber preparing to leave with
his goods. Ren 11 haled him as he
ran out of the door and filed at him
but missed, then Itagan called to
him to halt and upon refusing he
emptied a load of buckshot into him,
killing him instantly,
A coroner’s inquest was held to
day and rendered a verdict of justi
fiable homicide. The burglar was a
negro tie hand by the name of John
Henry, who had been employed at
the tie• camp of II S Johnson sit
Forest (Hen. Very little is known
of him. He had nearly a cart load
of hats, shoes, shirts, etc, packed
take away with him,

Fitzgerald and Frank N Fitzgerald are both
residents of Marion county in the state of In
dian®.
Second -Your ixititioners have associated
themselves together and desire to incorporate
a Railway Company, under the general Rail
Road Laws of the State of Georgia, under the
name of the Jlawklnsville. Fitzgerald X Gulf
Railway.
Third -The length of said rail road as near as
can be estimated will he fifty miles.
Fourth Thegeficral direction and location
of said rail road and the particular place
through which it shall pass arc to be as fol
lows: Heglhning at Hawkinsville, Pulaski
county. Georgia, and running south through
the lower half of said county, entering the
county of Wilcox in a southeasterly direction,
entering the county of Irwin Georgia, and con
Umdivg to\ a southeasterly direction through
the county of Irwin until it reaches the city of
Fitzgerald in said Irwin county.
Fifth—The amount of Capital stock is to be
Two Hundred Thousand Dollars, divided into
shares of One Hundred Dollars each.
Sixth- -The number of years -aid corporation
is to continue is twenty years, with the right
pi veiego to extend the same at any time
permission of the state Laws.
Seventh—The principle office of said Corpo
ration is to be In Fitzgerald. Irwin county,

faith to go forward to procure subscriptions to
the Capital stock, to construct, equip, maintain
