About four years ago one side of
my abdomen began to enlarge from
a growth inside. It grew to such
proportions that it seemed to fill the
abdomen. Then dropsy began and
swelled both legs and stomach to
twice their normal size. The doctors
called the trouble enlargement of
the spleen, and told me I must die.
I was removed from the hospital and
sent for Dr. J R McLean’s Liver
and Kidney Balm. I took seven
bottles and continually gained and
am well in every way now. The
dropsy entirely disappeared and left
the growth very small.

Words of Praise From a Student.
Editor Chronicle:
Allow me space in your paper to
say a few words about the Georgia
Normal College and Business Insti
tute of Abbeville.
For the past ten weeks I have
been under Prof. Little’s tutorship
and I know the advantages he is
offering to our young men and
women, and I know what they are
missiug if they fail to attend this
school. Young man, if you ever
expect to do anything worthy of
notice; if you ever expect to be any
thing worthy of existence, you can’t
neglect the opportunity that is now
at your door—of attending a first
class, up-to-date school, right at
home. If you want a business edu
cation— come to Abbeville. It you
want to prepare yourself to teach—
come to Abbeville. In fact, if you
want to make a man of yourself,
worthy the name—come to the Geor
gia Normal College and Business
Institute and go to work, and I
guarantee you success. I have
nothing to say against any school in
Georgia but I do say we have the
equal of any of them in Abbeville.
I will say to the people of Abbe
ville, by way of encouragement, if
you loose the court house, you have
in this school something worth a
hundred court houses; if we had
more such schools as the Georgia
Normal College, court houses would
not be so much in demand.
Boys and girls, parents, wake up.
Knowledge is power. You are re
quired to do something, to be some
thing. Y T ou must prepare yourself
iu order to do or be that something.
1 have but one regret on leaving
school, and that Is that T. can’t stay
longer. May the efforts of Prof.
Little and the other able teachers of
this school be crowned with the suc
cess they so justly deserve.
Willard Windham.
Many a household is saddened by
death because of the failure to keep
on hand a safe and absolutely cer
tain cure for croup such as One
Minute Cough Cure. See that your
little ones are protected against
emergency. Central Drug Co.

The sooner a cough or cold is

such a cough cure is within reach?
It is pleasant to the taste. Central

Remarkable Rescue.
Mrs. Michael Curtain, Plainfield,

caught cold which settled on her
lungs; she was treated for a month
by her family physician, but grew
worse. He told Iter she was a hope
less victim of consumption and that

druggist suggested Dr. King’s New
Discovery for Consumption; she
bought a bottle and to her delight
found herself benefftted from first
