GREENWOOD SHOWS
COMING TO CORDELE
Commencing Monday night at § p.
m. the great Greenwood shows will
open a week’s engagement in Cor
dele, changing program every night,
the opening show tc be a Big Min
strel. This big company of sixty five
people traveling in their own special
irain will arrive today and begin pre
paraticns at once for their opening.
A parade will be given Monday after
noon at 5 p. m. and many valuable
souvenirs will be given away during
the parade, advertising Chero Cola.
The Chero Cola company of Cordele
is responsible for bringing this big
show to Cordele as the company is
financed by the Chero Cola company
of Columbus, Ga., and placed on the
road to advertise Chero Cola. 7
Reports from Fitzgerald, Waycross,
Americus, Columbus, Macon and else
where, all show that e show is clean,
refined and far above the average.
The price of admission is the small
sum of ten cents for children and fif
teen cents for adults and ladies will
be admitted free Monday night when
accompanied by one paid ticket.
Mr. Greenwood explains that the
cenly reason an admission price is
charged at all is for the purpose of
keeping undesirables away.
It seems that the show is not out
as a money making proposition but
as an advertising proposition only.
Cordele has heard of the show and
will no doubt furnish just as good a
crowd as Greenwood will a show.
