5 JUST A MINUTE. |
I D
!You take the office telephone,
[ ‘And breathe a number in it,
l'And in a soft and soothing tone
| A voice says, “Just a minute.”
'One minute—two—ten minutes pass,
| You wait there ill at ease,
| And then a sympathetic lass
| Says, “Just a minute, please!"
{ You hear brief. vaguely muttered bits
{ of fleeing conversations.
'You sit there throwing savage fits,
| And vicing imprecations.
l:\nd as your thoughts grow more ma

{ That soothing voice observes,
“That line

TRY GRANDMOTHER’S oLD FA
VORITE RECIPE OF SAGE TEA
"AND SULPHUR.
Almost everyone knows that Sage
"'."cu an_d Sulphur, properly compound
cd, brings back the natural color and |
lustre to the hair when faded, streaked
OTLETAY. 4. Years ago the only way to
get this mixture was to make it at
home, which is mussy and trouble
some. Nowadays, by asking at any
drug store for “Wyeth’s Sage and Sul
phur Compound,” you will get a large
bottle of this famous old recipe, im
proved by the aition of other ingre
dients, for about 50 cents. I
Don’t stay gray! Try .it! No one|
can possibly tell that you darkened'
your hair, as it dées it so noturally and
evenly. You dampen a sponge or soft '
brush’ with it and draw this through |
your hair, taking one small strand at]
a time; by morning the gray hair dis- |
appears, and on anotheh application{
or two, your hair becomes beautifully
dark, glossy and attractive.
~ Wyeth’'s Sage and Sulphur Com
}pound ‘is a delightful toilet requisite
for those who desire dark hair and a
| vouthful appearance. It is not intend
ed for the cure, mitigation of preven
tion of disease.

ANOTHER FINE WEATHER
WEEK FOR GEORGIA CROPS
Atlanta, Sept. 30.—The past week
was generall fair throughout the state
and consequently highly favorable for
outdoor worlky, but the weather was
too dry for fall gardens, and the cool
nights in the northern part of the state
prevented the rapid opening of cot
ton in the northern division. Never
theless, cotton is now nearly all open
as far north as Atlanta, and picking
and ginning are at their most active
period. The prospects for a top crop
plans to-attend. W, W. CROXTON,
