“THE UNBORN.”
The Most Daring Subject Ever Filmed
But Done in a Clean, Clever
¥ Manner.
To adopt “Birth Control” as a theme
upon which to build an education play
calls for the finality of finess. It's a
subject that must needs be handled
in a straight ferward, daring manner;
must lay bare all the essential facts
and go right to the root of the evil;
at the same time the greatest caution
must be exercised lest the finer sense
of the audience be offended. In “The
Unborn,” the author, George Eliot, Jr.,
deals with this subject in a most amaz
ing and original, and at the same time,
unobjectionable manner. The picture
has been produced to serve a moral
purpose, and 2s such it is an excellent
and vivid preachment, as well as an
interest and entertaining production.
It strikes at the root of an evil and
frankly shows the truth. In doing so
it makes a producticn egpecially en
lightening to parents. Good photogra
phy, excellent acting, beautiful exte
rior scenes; all help to make this a
wonderfully interting feature.
The principal role is played by Ger
trude Bondhill, a well-known dramatic
star. who has been identified with
many great theatrical productions.
“The Unborn” will be shown at the
Opera House for Monday. Matinee
3 p. m. Children under seventeen not
admitted.
